What Knee Decompression actually does.

Knee decompression uses controlled mechanical distraction to gently pull the femur and tibia apart, opening space inside the knee. That space matters: it off-loads the cartilage that has been compressed against itself, restores normal joint fluid flow, and allows nutrients back into tissue that has been essentially strangled by chronic loading.

The device does something a squat or a stretch cannot — it applies a specific, targeted decompressive force across the joint line while you lie comfortably on the table. Sessions are short and easy. The work happens through repetition and through what we pair with it.

For patients who have been told they need a knee replacement, knee decompression combined with PRP, A2M, laser, and PEMF is often the difference between surgery and years of active living.

Evidence & mechanism

Joint distraction has been studied at academic centers as an alternative to knee replacement in selected patients, with published data showing preserved cartilage on MRI and years of reduced pain after a course of decompression. Our approach layers that mechanical work with the biological therapies known to support cartilage repair.

Who is a good candidate

Excellent candidates include patients with knee osteoarthritis who are trying to delay replacement, athletic patients with early cartilage wear, and patients who have already had A2M or PRP and want to maximize the result. We are transparent when a knee is truly end-stage and replacement is the better path.
